The Old Hotel - which sits at the corner of Main Street (Route 488) and South Franklin Street (Route 528)- was owned by the Robert Allen family members from the mid-1860 era till present.

John McKee Roth started the Roth Grain Mill - at the corner of Lafeyette Street and Maple Street - was in business from 1906 until 2016 until the land and building were sold. Although the mill is now gone, the original garage still stands today.
